GENERAL RULES FOR INTER SCHOOL COMPETITIONS

Eligibility

• Open to all students under the age of 20.

• Participants must represent their specific school.

Team and Individual Participation

• Each student may only participate in one competition.

• Competitions may be individual or team-based; team composition limits will be specified for each event.

Submission Limits

• Each school may submit a limited number of entries per event.

• Late submissions will not be accepted unless prior notice is given and approved.

• All submission should be submitted through the website on or before 27th of June 2025.

Originality and Integrity

• All submissions must be original work.

• Plagiarism or use of unlicensed copyrighted material will result in disqualification.

Judging

• Judges’ decisions are final.

• The identity of judges will remain confidential to ensure impartiality.

Scoring and Awards

• Winners will be recognized individually or by team at the ICT Day.

• All winners are requested to be present during the ICT Day which will be staged on the 18th of July 2025.

Conduct and Sportsmanship

• All participants are expected to maintain respectful behavior throughout the competition.

• Any form of misconduct may lead to disqualification.

Event Schedule

• Registrations are open from 16th of May to 8th of June. 

• Deadline ofr submissions will be on 27th of June 2025.

• The quiz competition will be held on ICT Day, which is scheduled to take place on the 18th of July.

Technical and Presentation Requirements

• Entries must meet the technical specifications outlined in each event brief (e.g., file format, size and duration) and should be emailed to ictsociety@stcmount.lk. 

• Details of the participants should be attached with the mail (E.g.- Name, Grade and Contact number)

Disqualification Clauses

• Failure to follow submission guidelines, use of inappropriate content, or any dishonest behavior may result in disqualification.

Other Information

• The ICT Society reserves the right to disqualify any entry that fails to comply with the competition rules.

• After registration, a WhatsApp group will be created including all participants. Further details and necessary materials will be shared in the group on the specified date.

• The ICT Society of S. Thomas’ College reserves the right to question participants regarding their work during or before the competition as part of the judging process. This is to ensure the authenticity of submissions and prevent any form of fraudulence or external assistance. Participants are expected to be able to explain and justify their design choices and code if requested.
